Wheelchair User Manual Burn Calories 3 times larger

Currently there is a manual wheelchair and use the remote to control it. But those who use manual wheelchairs can burn 120 calories in half an hour or 3 times larger than that using the remote.

Someone who use manual wheelchairs can burn up to 120 calories in half an hour if he is pushing for a flat surface with a speed of two mph, or 3 times bigger than the folks doing a similar thing but using the remote wheelchair.

May be calories burned is almost the exact same as someone who's mopping, but when someone mopping within half-hour using manual wheelchairs the calories burned will be much that is equal to 258 calories.

These results are determined by an article written by Professor David R Bassett Jr. of this Department of Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport Studies on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

In this informative article he calculates calories spent from many different physical activity of people who use manual wheelchairs and summarize it into a single source and published in the quarterly dapted Physical Activity Quarterly, namely jurnak issued by Human Kinetics Inc..

With this study researchers created a questionnaire and analyzed a lot more than 250 studies containing data of energy expenditure for wheelchair use are linked to physical activity.

The effects suggests that people with disabilities can benefit in improving their health by doing exercises that can burn calories.

"It could not just encourage people who are in wheelchairs to activities like walking around with ajingnya or playing basketball, but you are able to still burn a large amount of calories," said Prof. Bassett, as quoted by ScienceDaily, Monday (31/10 / 2011).

Department of Health and Human Sciences, USA recommends that disabled adults should get at least 150 minutes of exercise per week in order to remain able to get the body along with a healthy body.
