Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in pregnant women
dose
First epilepsy
Initial: 3-4 mg / kg / day as single dose or in divided doses.
Maintenance: 200-500 mg / day.
Second status epilepticus
In addition to benzodiazepines: 10-15 mg / kg.
Maintenance: 100 mg 6-8 hours.
Side effects
Together with the desired effect, the drug may cause some unwanted effects. If any of the side effects occurred, would probably require medical treatment.
